I feel moved by Nature's brilliant colors and intricate morphology.  I want to translate this beauty into functional artifacts that bring celebration to daily life.  

Traditional art forms fascinate me because of the artistic lineage of humanity.  They speak to me of the human spirit recognizing Beauty and wanting to celebrate it.  I am constantly stirred by colors and shapes, and I daydream of how I can gracefully paint them.
